Timing belts are replaced on schedule, not when they break
On many engines a snapped timing belt causes serious internal damage. Manufacturers set a replacement interval by kilometres or years. The water pump is often driven by the same belt, so it is commonly replaced at the same time to save paying for the labour twice.
Overheating needs prompt attention
If the temperature gauge rises, pull over safely and switch off. Never open a hot radiator cap. Continuing to drive an overheating engine can damage the head gasket. Call us and we will advise on getting it to the workshop.

Yes. We inspect the fault, explain what we found and give you a quote. Work only goes ahead once you approve it.
My car has broken down. Can you help?
Call 0435 885 888. We work with tow operators to get vehicles to the workshop, then diagnose and repair them.
How do I know when my timing belt is due?
Check your logbook or owner's manual for the interval, or call us with your make, model, engine and kilometres. Some engines use a timing chain instead, which normally does not have a set replacement interval.
